Web assistant – part-time/freelance

Our Web design and maintenance workload is growing – and we need help to keep pace with the increasing demands of deadlines and schedules.

Working mainly from our offices in Wooburn Green, our ideal assistant would be a bright all-rounder with who’s enthusiastic about all Web-related technologies. He or she will have an eagle eye for detail and ability to manage their time well under pressure. The role includes…

  • Updating Web pages using text editor and clients ‘content management systems’
  • Checking the links on clients’ Websites – some of them in multiple languages – and correcting them where necessary
  • Running reports from Search Engine Optimisation software and Google Analytics

Your skill and experience should include some of the following…

  • HTML. XHTML and XML
  • WordPress
  • MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • SEO software such as WebCEO or Google Webmaster
  • Web analytics e.g. with WebTrends, Google Analytics, Webalizer, Urchin
  • Social networking: especially Twitter, LinkedIn
  • Good standard of written English – other languages an advantage (especially German, Italian, French)
